- An iPhone or iPad with an internet connection

Open the App Store
Tap the blue App Store icon on your home screen.
Search for “OpenAI ChatGPT”
Tap Search (the magnifying glass), type OpenAI ChatGPT and tap Search on the keyboard.
Check who made it
Tap the result named ChatGPT and look under the name for the developer. OpenAI says it should be OpenAI OpCo, LLC. Ads may appear above the real result, so check before you tap.
⚠️ Watch out for look-alikes. App stores have many copycat "AI chat" apps with similar names and icons, and some charge pricey subscriptions. The real ChatGPT app is published by OpenAI.Tap Get
The app is free to download. Tap Get, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your password.
Open it and sign in
Tap Open. Choose to sign up or log in with your email or one of the sign-in buttons offered. You may get a code by email to confirm it's you.
💡 Good to know: you don't need to pay to start. If the app offers a paid plan, you can skip it. OpenAI's terms say users must be at least 13, and under-18s need a parent's or guardian's permission.Decide on notifications
The app may ask to send you notifications. Either choice is fine; you can change it later in your iPhone's Settings.
Ask your first question
